Episode 4 : I Am Become Death

Loading ...Future Peter and Present Peter time travel to FP’s time (4 yrs. in the future) and he notifes PP that in the past (PP’s time) someone created a formula that gave everyone powers. This is backed up by people in Manhattan flying and running all over the place. FP tells PP that PP has to obtain Sylar’s power to be able to save the world. At this point Claire shows up with Knox and Daphne and shoots FP (why did he die, he can’t die), PP teleports to Costa Verde, California. He enters the home of Gabriel (Sylar) who now is a family man with a son named Noah. Noah says hi to his uncle, Peter looks at him a little weird because of being called Uncle. Noah reveals that Peter doesn’t have his scar; this is when Gabriel realizes that Peter is from the past. He takes him into a seperate room where Peter tells him that he needs his power to save the world.
Gabriel doesn’t want to reveal his power so easily because of the hunger is causes. Peter uses his telekenisis and mind reading to try and retrieve it. Gabriel then gives him his broken Sylar watch and tells Peter that to use his power he must understand how to fix the watch. Peter begins using the power and fixes the broken watch. At this moment Clair, Knox, and Daphne barge in once again and try to kill Peter and Gabriel (Claire still has a grudge against him). Peter asks her why she asks this way and her response is that she learned to defend herself. Daphne runs and starts to punch Peter (it was earlier revealed that she is afraid of him by Knox). Knox attacks Gabriel but Gabriel states that he isn’t afraid of him. Knox was using Noah’s fright to power himself. Gabriel tells Noah to run and hide. Knox punches Gabriel and sends him crashing through a table that hit Noah. Noah is unconscious and bleeding from the nose, Gabriel loses it and goes Atomic blowing up all of Costa Verde.
Claire has Peter captive at a lab next to FP (who is dead) PP tries to teleport but the Haitian is present and prevents that. Claire uses a scapel to cut Peter, she intends to cut him for each person that died in Costa Verde. After 2 cuts Nathan walks in (He is now President of the US and married to Tracy) and tells Claire to stop it and to leave him and Peter alone. He tells Peter that he understands what he is doing and that it will be ok. Peter reads his mind and realizes that what Nathan is doing is wrong and Nathan is blinded by it (I guess this refers to everything happening in the future). At that moment Peter gives in to the hunger and slices Nathan’s head and just then he realizes what he did and teleports back to the Present. He ends up in Sylar’s cell and quickly slams Sylar to the wall and tells him that he must teach him how to control the craving. That’s when Sylar says that Peter now feels the hunger and calls him brother.
Side notes:
Hiro and Ando are in a Level 2 Cell and Ando still can’t believe Hiro doesn’t trust him b/c of what Hiro saw in the future. Ando still helps Hiro climb into a AC duct when the Haitian enters to take them to Angela’s office. Hiro tells her that he lost both parts to formula and she sends him looking for the key to getting it back. The key ends up being Adam who tries to choke Hiro for what he did to him.
In the future Matt and Daphne are married and have a daughter and also raise Molly. Molly helped Daphne locate Peter. That is how Claire knew he was in Costa Verde and Knox sensed that Daphne is scared of Peter.
Peter discovered that Gabriel lived in Costa Verde from Mohinder after reading his mind. Mohinder has mutated more and keeps himself covered by a robe and doesn’t want anyone trying to look at him. He lives in the loft that belonged to Mendez. The house that Gabriel lived in was the same house Claire lived in when the moved to CA. In the future Nathan becomes President of the US and Tracy is the first lady. He gives a speech about the tragedy in Costa Verde killing 200,000 people. The African tells Matt that to end his journey he must find his totem (an animal in this case to guide him), Matt leaves the hut and sees the same turtle he saw when he first arrived and starts to follow it.
